The Traditional Maintenance Kit is supplied with several of the higher end swords and is also available separately. The kit contains blade oil (traditional choji oil) to prevent rusting, rice papers to apply the oil, an oiling cloth, a powder ball for blade polishing, and a brass awl and hammer. The kit is contained in a fitted wooden box.
