Mini Osborne in Magnacut Steel

Benchmade innovates, (just like Spyderco’s continuous improvement) took its best knife 940 Osborne in green and improved it using better steel. The finishing on this knife is just stunning, the burnt copper is a beautiful dark orange(Perfect fall colour). It is quite small and lightweight, all the qualities for an EDC knife. It fits in the small front side pocket of jeans. The colour of the blade is unique ( so prolonged use won’t show up as much compared to uniform plain colour) & it doesn’t reflect sunlight. This feature is perfect for unwanted attention. For myself this mini is for my front pocket and I will get the longer Osborne in Magnacut for my backpack. The Benchmade Osborne is just like Spyderco’s Paramilitary 3
; both are exceptional. Two of the best knives on the market. Benchmade leads now with its Flagship in two sizes using Magnacut steel. Spyderco must catch up, it should release its Para 3 in Magnacut. Their Flagship Para3 in CPM S110V is similar to Magnacut, but it’s better edge retention sacrifices too much for its lack of corrosion resistance & toughness compared Magnacut. Magnacut steel really is a great compromise between corrosion resistance, edge retention, & toughness for folding knives. In my opinion steels like CPM 3V, 14C28N are the choice for fixed blades with full tang & not folders.
