Our Raimie (rah-ee-mae) XL Katana represents the next generation in heavy cutting katana from the CAS Hanwei brand. 

The Raimie XL Katana takes its place alongside the Practical XL and the Practical Plus XL cutting katana adding to the proud history of this series. Continuing the tradition XL Series of katana blade geometry, our new cutter features the billowing clouds and raimie (thunderclap) theme from fuchie to kashira. With a double pegged and fully removeable tsuka (handle) with synthetic components around the wood core, Raimie Katana keeps owning a heavy cutting katana affordable. The silver habaki, menuki and seppa contrast against the black tsuka-ito and the white faux same (ray skin). The textured black saya allow for easy handling without finger prints or smudges founding with a lacquered finish.

The Performance Series remains the standard in the Japanese sword industry since its introduction in the mid-2000s. Being the go-to cutting katana for practitioners, our newly updated Performance series katana will maintain their place in the sword market.
